Riya is shocked!
Yesteryear’s actress Suchitra Sen is at the receiving end of undue attention.Suchitra, who has turned reclusive and shuns media attention, was admitted recently in a Kolkata hospital’s ICU. It is here that Gopa Mukherji, a lady journo working for a Kolkata channel, entered her ward.
Needless to say, her family is livid. Her granddaughter Riya Sen confirms the incident and adds, "On Feb 29, Gopa entered the hospital claiming to visit someone else and caused a lot of trouble. It’s shocking." There’s a lot of anguish in her voice as she says, "Just because we are celebs, it doesn’t mean that we don’t have a right to privacy. Especially when a person is in ICU, people must leave her alone. We are so upset, especially my mom Moon Moon Sen. Granny has got a setback again, just when she was on her road to recovery."

On Friday night, she provided jovial company to top Australian golfer Adam Scott and the flamboyant English golfer Ian Poulter for a night out.
The rendezvous in question happened in Delhi on March 29. Sen was invited to a function attended by golfers from all parts of the globe. A symposium was held to drive home the message 'Don't drink and drive'. Sen got talking to Scott and Poulter at the function, and before you could blink, the three of them had sped away, dashing into Delhi's heady nightlife buzz.
An eyewitness says that Sen painted the town red with the two golfers. Sen, Scott and Poulter visited various nightclubs and danced the night away. The golfers had a match (Johnnie Walker Classic) to play the next day, but Sen had them mesmerised. The threesome met again the following day and painted the town red.
A little after midnight, Poulter left Sen and Scott alone because he had to board a flight home. Our source adds, “Sen and Scott were together till the wee hours.
They had long conversations on films, golf, and many other subjects.” A friend of Sen informs us, “The two golfers found Sen very attractive and even praised her beauty. On the other hand, Sen found them quite handsome.”
After returning to Mumbai, Sen has kept in touch with both of them. When contacted, Sen simply said, “Yes, I had a great time with Scott and Poulter in Delhi.” Now that’s sporting of you, Riya. You’re quite the player, babes!

Riya Sen's nav-vari sari in ZOR LAGAA KE... HAIYA
Riya Sen, who has been looking for her image change, will now be seen donning a nine-yard Maharashtrian sari in Gemini Studios' forthcoming film ZOR LAGAA KE... HAIYA, which is now almost complete. She plays a village belle, playing a construction worker in the film.
When the role was offered to her, there was no reluctance, and the actress says she immediately agreed to do the role. "I always wanted to play a village belle," she says.
Producer Kartikeya Talreja says, "Riya was a bit reluctant but when we explained to her how it will be a good change for her, she agreed to do the film."
Did she meet some construction workers to learn their mannerisms and behaviour? "I have seen them all my life", Riya says.
With ZOR LAGAA KE...HAIYA, Gemini Studios is entering feature film production. The film, now nearing completion, is being produced by Kartikeya Talreja and written and directed by Girish Girija Joshi. It features Mithun Chakraborty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Seema Biswas, Riya Sen, Sachin Khedekar, Raj Zutshi and Gulshan Grover with five kids - Meghan Jadhav, Ashwin Chitale, Ayeshka Kaduskar, Ritwik Tyagi and Hardik S.Thakkar - playing stellar roles. Music by Bapi-Tutul, lyrics by Amitabh Verma and cinematography by Hari Nair are other credits.

Mahesh Manjrekar will be seen wooing the ever gorgeous Riya Sen in Gemini Studios next film. The film will see Riya Sen in a completely different light. Titled ‘Zor Lagake..Haiya’ , Riya Sen will be seen portraying a worker at a construction site.
Mahesh Manjrekar who has shades of grey in the film, will be seen doing the role of a contractor at the construction site who has been mesmerized by Riya’s looks. Mahesh has also shot for a witty romantic sequence in the film where he dances freestyle to woo Riya.

'Bong Bong becomes Marathi mulgi.' Riya Sen sheds her short skirts and tanky tops to don a nine-yard (navvari) sari, which happens to be her attire and look in her forthcoming flick, Zor Lagaa Ke…Haiya. On the verge of completion, this film showcases her as village belle who is a construction worker.
"I always wanted to play a village belle," says Riya draped in yellow and green sari at Gemini Studios. Although, initially she was hesitant to for such a vast makeover with a 'gaon ki chori' look, the producer of the film Kartikeya Talreja claims, "Riya was a bit reluctant but when we explained to her how it will be a good change for her, she agreed to do the film."
